Boys tennis: Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice edges Northville on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018

 

    Division 1 No. 2 Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice edged No. 7 Northville 4-3 on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Bloomfield Hills Marian.

   Rice improved to 10-1-2 in dual meets with the win.

   Doubles flights led the way for Rice, as they won No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 doubles, each in three sets. The teams of Niko Mamatas and Josh Anschuetz (No. 1), James MacKenzie and Dominic Dadabbo (No. 3), and Ben Wall and Conlen Kennedy (No. 4) earned victories for Rice. Senior Jarreau Campbell won at No. 1 singles for the Warriors. Rice’s No. 2 singles player and Northville’s No. 4 singles players were out with illnesses and the No. 4 singles slot was voided.

   Rice hosts Catholic High School League rival Novi Detroit Catholic Central today, Sept. 27.
