Ann Arbor Greenhills players and coaches pose with their MHSAA Region 20 boys tennis championship trophy on Wednesday.

   Division 3 No. 1-ranked Ann Arbor Greenhills won the Michigan High School Athletic Association Region 20 boys tennis championship on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Greenhills’ tennis complex.

   Greenhills won the championship with 21 points. No. 3-ranked Detroit Country Day was the only other state qualifier, finishing second with 19 points.

Oral (No. 1), Rishi Verma (No. 2), Chakor Rajendra (No. 3), and Kabir Rajendra (No. 4) earning titles.

   Oral did not drop a single game during his three matches. Verma and Kabir Rajendra both lost only a single game in their matches. Chakor Rajendra only lost two games in his three matches.

   Greenhills won the No. 4 doubles title as the team of Dylan Carvette and Charles Branch earned a three-set victory.

   The MHSAA Division 3 championship is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Oct. 15-16, in the Midland area.
